Walt Disney World is recognised as the world’s top destination for young and old. There’s just so much to do – something for everyone!

There are four main theme parks:

The Magic Kingdom is a must for those wanting the opportunity to experience the true magic of Disney – meet your favourite characters, see the wonderful parades and fireworks, visit Cinderella’s Castle and don’t forget the whole host of exciting rides.

Epcot is divided into two themed areas.Future World includes the famous Spaceship Earth ride which traces the history of communication, as well as the amazing Wonders of Life where you are miniaturised to view the inner workings of the body. The Living Seas is a 5.7 million gallon aquarium filled with fish, sharks, sea turtles and dolphins, and don’t forget to see the highly enjoyable 3-D film Honey I Shrunk the Audience and ride the incredible “Soarin”.
The second themed area, World Showcase is centred around the beautiful lagoon, and gives you the opportunity to sample the culture and cuisine of 11 very different countries. Stay into the evening to wonder at the impressive musical fireworks display.

Disney-Hollywood Studios
 is devoted to television and movie production – see the most amazing special effects in The Backlot Tour, view the Disney animators at work producing their next blockbuster, and watch a variety of staged shows including Beauty and the Beast, Voyage of the Little Mermaid and the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. There are also some great rides: Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Roll Coaster, Star Tours, as well as the more sedate Great Movie Ride. Enjoy the spectacular evening performance of “FANTASMIC”.

Animal Kingdom is home to more than 1700 animals all of which you can see in environments which have been carefully created to resemble their native habitats. It is also home to Dinoland USA and a variety of shows, such as the fabulous Festival of the Lion King, and Tarzan Rocks where in-line skating meets amazing acrobatics.

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure
Go beyond Disney and ride the movies at Universal Studios! An incredible array of rides, shows, film sets and attractions put you right in the middle of your favourite scenes from your favourite films. Renowned as the number one movie studio theme park in the world. Visit the widely acclaimed new “Harry Potter” themed event.

Islands of Adventure is well known as being America’s hottest new theme park, combining cartoon fun with fantasy with great rides, including the world’s first inverted duelling roller coaster.

Water Parks
You will be spoilt for choice with Wet ‘n’ WildWater Mania��and two Disney water parks -Blizzard Beach andTyphoon Lagoon, and of course the Sea World “Aquatica” with it’s Sharks Deep Dive.

SeaWorld and Discovery Cove
There’s no place quite like SeaWorld. Where else can you touch and feed dolphins, count the teeth on a shark and come face-to-face with a polar bear? Then there are Challenge Kraken, Orlando’s only floorless coaster and Journey To Atlantis, a super-charged water coaster of mythic proportions. And, just try to stay dry when the world famous killer whale Shamu comes a splashing!

Discovery Cove offers the opportunity to experience one of the most exciting animal encounters the world has to offer and swimming with dolphins. You also have the opportunity to play with stingrays, and come eye-to-eye with sharks and barracuda on the Cove’s coral reef.

Kennedy Space Center
Take part in mankind’s greatest journey at NASA launch headquarters, the Kennedy Space Center. See the Space Shuttle and rockets, tour the launch pads, train in spaceflight simulator and see the history of space travel.


Golfers will be spoilt for choice, with the opportunity to play numerous courses nearby, including Bay HillFalcons Fire, and the two Greg Norman designed at Champions Gate – just 5 minutes away.

Away from the Theme Parks

If you want to see the natural beauty and wildlife of Florida, there are many options such as the must-see EvergladesBoggy Creek Airboat RidesSilver Springs and Gatorland. Of course, if it is beaches that you are after, then there are those on the Atlantic coast, such as Cocoa and Daytona, which are less than hour away. The Gulf coast offers wonderful silver sand beaches and tranquil views of the calm waters of the Gulf of Mexico – beaches like those at Clearwater and St. Pete are just over an hour from your doorstep.
